Kidz Club
Kidz Club takes place regularly on Saturday afternoons between 2pm-4pm and Sunday mornings between 10am-12pm. This is open to children of all abilities.
Each week there is a riding lesson for an hour followed by an hour’s instruction in stable management.
You can sign up when you want, you don’t have to attend every week. Doing and enjoying is the aim of each session
and different topics and skills will be covered each week.
If you pay for 10 sessions in one go, you’ll get 2 extra free - an excellent discount
Own a Pony Week
Have you dreamed of owning your own pony and not had the chance? Well now you can for a week. Come to
Tanglewood and meet our friendly ponies. We’ll match you up with your perfect partner who you will look after
and really get to know.
Each of the 4 days start at 9.30am with catching in, feeding, grooming and tacking up. You’ll ride for at least two
hours a day in a mixture of lessons and games. There’ll be a competition that runs all week, with a championship
on the last day and you’ll also, with the help of your instructor, put together a show that you will perform for your
friends and family at the end of the week. The day ends at 4pm with the ponies being put to bed, to get a good
night’s sleep for the next days activities.
Day Course
If you like the sound of the pony week, but you only have a day or two to spare, you can sign up for day courses
instead. The format of the day is the same as for the pony week with the option to do stable management as well
as the fun activities.
½ Day Course
If you’d like to have more of a taster session, then you could sign up for a ½ day course in either the morning or the
afternoon. You will be shown how to catch your pony, groom, tackup and have a riding lesson. You’d then have
a session of stable management on the yard. This is a really nice introduction to ponies if you don’t have much
experience of being round them, but have always wanted to try.
Pony Parties
For that brilliant birthday treat, why not have a pony party, where everyone gets to have their own pony for an hour.
You can have your own gymkhana - mounted games or you can chose to have a fun filled lesson, it’s up to you.
